Description

The Vought F4U-4 Corsair was a US Navy fighter aircraft produced by Vought-Sikorsky from 1942-1952, and used by American units during WW2 and the Korean War. This Cobi set, licensed from Northrop-Grumman, faithfully recreates the historic design.

The characteristic shape of the hinged wings and the rearward-shifted pilot's cockpit were the result of numerous modifications during the design and testing phase of the prototypes. The culmination of the design work was a construction with exceptional performance, considered by many to be the best fighter of World War II.

The Cobi F4U-4 Corsair contains 520 high quality blocks, with prints (no stickers), and a minifig with 2 interchangeable heads. The moving parts include the cabin, ailerons, a propeller, and folding wheels. It comes with a stand and a display plate with the name of the aircraft model printed on it.
