Sachi is the face behind Latericius, AFOL, and alt brick specialist.

Like many people, I grew up playing with building blocks, and then life went on. My children gave me the chance to rediscover them as an adult a few years ago, and ever since we’ve not only had hours of invaluable fun together but we’ve also made pretty amazing models. Maybe someday I’ll share with you the incredible MOC trees made by a 4-year-old.

What I enjoy the most about brick building is that it has the magical power of making you focus and forget about work, dinner, or bath time. Oops! Sometimes it’s good to just let yourself go.

When I got back into building, I came across many alternatives, but I wasn’t sure what to expect. I decided to take the first step and try some brands that I had heard of, but I ran into another obstacle: it was tricky to get my hands on them. There were no stores in Spain that sold them, and ordering them directly from China meant not only a long wait but also, they arrived without their original boxes, in bags. I had to return an order more than once, and even worse, I was not able to assemble my set.

After building sets from many alt brick brands, I created my own shop. Latericius: Made of Bricks is the only online brick-building shop in Spain specialized in legit alt brick brands. My aim is to spread the word about the brands I trust, and to make these more accessible in Spain and Europe.
